Today, Sharon from the F1rst Commercial Recruitment team had the pleasure of attending Aquinas College in Stockport to lead a student workshop as part of their careers week.
The workshop was attended by students leaving college this academic year that have decided not to continue on to further education but equally haven’t yet secured an apprenticeship or full time employment. For this reason the session focused on the interview process, covering topics such as, how to prepare for interviews, what to wear, how to behave during the interview and how to tackle dreaded interview questions. Students were also given the chance to get to grips with answering competency based interview questions with Sharon acting as the ‘interviewer’.
On her to return to the office Sharon had a smile on her face and told the rest of the team how much she enjoyed meeting with the students and offering them her guidance. She hopes that the students found it useful and that it helps them moving forward – which we here at FCR team don’t doubt for one minute!
